Winter can be one of the best times of year. After all, what would the holidays be without the creation of snow angels, or an evening involving a roaring fire while you sip hot cocoa with the ones you love?  And, let’s not forget that about those icy roads—it can give you the perfect excuse to call it sick! It’s a magical time of year, but come February, many people are ready for the sun and the sand. And, everyone is ready to enjoy their backyard once again!

What’s your most ambitious patio plans?

Whether you are excited about preparing your soil for spring harvest, or you’re simply looking forward to stepping outside and enjoying a nightcap on your deck, we have three easy tips that will help you prepare for the birds, the bees and that outdoor party you can’t wait to host—in honor of spring, of course!

Clean Out Those Flower Beds

You’re tired of the cold weather, right? When it comes to needing a change of pace weather-wise, there’s nothing like bright colored flowers to cheer you up and get you in the springtime mood. Begin transforming your backyard for the coming season by cleaning—and clearing—out those flower beds. Chances are, they have weeds that need to be pulled and dried up foliage that needs to be discarded. It’s when you begin doing your pre-gardening ahead of time that you can have the garden of your dreams, come Spring!

Rake Your Yard and Enjoy a Clean Backyard

One of the most overwhelming aspects of a backyard’s upkeep is the raking, blowing and mowing. In fact, it can be downright discouraging. The silver lining is that when you do spend time raking your yard, your yard instantly looks clean, kept and ready for that fabulous dinner party you’ve been waiting to throw!  When you rake your yard, you will also allow your grass to grow with abundance and identify those ‘trouble spots’ such as mildew—that was previously hiding under an excess of loose leaves.

Don’t Forget About Your Swing Set and Trampoline

Soon, your backyard will become the place where you host parties, spend time with your family and enjoy relaxation at its finest! But more than that, it’s where your kids relax, make memories and bond with their siblings and friends. Our trampolines are of the highest quality in the market. Springfree, they allow you to jump, bounce and flip your way to good health and happiness!   Our swing sets offer something for every age, so as your children grow up, you can be proud to have a fun activity for them that they never detach from.

When it comes to your backyard, they’re the highlight. Why shouldn’t they be? Children love repetition, whether it’s having the ability to watch the same movie over and over again, or swinging to and fro, for hours on end.

As you gear your backyard up for the sunny weather, don’t neglect to check your kids’ equipment, especially the ground for ‘bare spots’ in which your safety surfacing blew away from the harsh winter weather. If you are in need of more rubber mulch so your children safety plays their hearts out, order online or contact one of our friendly and knowledgeable associates to help you with your needs. At Best in Backyards, we want you to have a backyard you love spending time in!
